Judy, Judy, Judy! If you didn’t know before, you certainly do know now after hearing Judy Blume tell all about the world of post-production. Over 20 years in post … she should know.
If you ever considered or are considering becoming an editor, I’m sure you are very happy you caught her interview on Screenwriters Radio. I felt as if I were in the edit suite in the thick of it … creative juices flowing and every detail of the film project being addressed!
And as for Judy’s second career … go figure!
I sure hope that you didn’t miss Aaron Henne. Aaron talked about writing for the stage AND writing for the screen!
Aaron told us how he got produced and the steps you can take to become a produced writer. His wisdom, knowledge, and expertise came to light in the form of all the great information that he shared with the audience during the show.
Aaron has a new book on the way… check back on The Screenwriters Radio Show Site www.ScreenwritersRadio.com for more on his new Playwriting Guide, we’ll have info soon.
If you missed what Jeffrey Clark said on the Show, you missed a lot of great information from this author, screenwriter, teacher.
Jeffrey even talked about researching projects in a very ‘unique’ and different way. I don’t know about you, but when I hear the word ‘research’, my mind goes in the direction of old dusty books and hours of pouring over page after page just to find one little (very important) fact. Not so the way Jeffrey does it!
Thanks for hanging out on The Show and sharing Jeffrey … can’t wait to see your latest screenplay!
If you have worked with directors that yell, you will be surprised to hear that my guest Jeanne Sanner is a director who doesn’t.
Jeanne spells everything out in detail for the actors ahead of time so that there are no surprises. When I talked with her about directors, actors, and temperament she said,’…take away the surprise and you remove the element of fear, the place where anger comes from.’
Andy talks about being an actor, directing actors and commercials. You will be able to see him perform in a commercial.
Also, two actors he directs will perform during the Show. www.ScreenwritersRadio.com Enjoy the Show!
Screenwriters Radio had a special “Oscar” show with movie connoisseur and critic Dean Treadway. Dean joined me from New York to talk Hollywood.
At the end of our Show I pulled out my official Oscar ballot, read the categories and Dean picked the winners!
I must say, the Academy showed their “classy” side this year. The 81st was a very good show!
Congrats to Slumdog, all the noms and winners.
Mike and Kate, who I now call the ‘Dynamic Duo’, were great guests …very inspiring. I really enjoyed talking with them and watching thier animated movie shorts. My fav flick is “Unguarded Moment”.
Their philosophy of utilizing everything at your disposal to create is something I believe in. It is a big thrill for me to see these two being countries apart (he’s in SoCal and she’s in England) working together blazing the trail for anyone and everyone to follow.
If you missed their interview just logon to www.ScreenwritersRadio.com and click “Featured Guest” on the menu. Check out their movies, pics and script pages while you’re there!
Kate and Mike, best of luck to you guys and let’s do something together in the near future!
